The Art Hallway
“Love Promenade”
The promenade is adorned with 33 pieces created by the French painter Raymond Peynet (1908-1999), they are very impressive. You are kindly invited to enter into romantic feeling through the world of Peynet’s tender hearted pieces, The Lovers. Immerse yourself in several love stories depicted.
Raymond Peynet（1908〜1999）
French illustrator. At 15 enrolled into Ecole Des Arts Appliqués art school in Paris.
Peynet was rocketed into fame in 1936 when his illustrations were published in the English-language newspaper Boulevardier.
Inclusion of pungent satire and seductive charm were characteristic for his adorable pictures, and he continued to draw motifs of life-long love and peace. Even today, Peynet’s collection The Lovers, is well known all over the world.
